Workshop for Job Prospectives

Friday, Sept 22 at 3pm in conference room 9304.

As a part of a series of professionalization seminars for SAGE, our newest faculty, Jeff Pruchnic and Lisa Ze-Winters will be holding a placement workshop for graduate students on Friday, September 22, at 3 PM, in conference room #9304 (5057 Woodward).

Topics covered will include selection issues (such as researching prospective universities, the value of limited vs. full searches, etc.), as well as the draft and design of job application documents. Follow-up workshops, including mock interviews and campus visit simulations will follow later this semester and after the break.

As Ross mentioned, if you are going on the academic market this year, you cannot afford to miss this. But even if you are not going on the market this year, you are encouraged to come, bring questions and participate in this workshop. It really is never too early to start!

All those interested in participating, please RSVP Jeff Pruchnic at jeffpruchnic@wayne.edu. And a big thank you to Jeff and Lisa for putting this together!
