Mentoring + Collaboration: The community-based writing group has a successful history in mentoring undergraduate students to conduct their own research on service learning.

We have developed a system in which faculty mentor graduate students, who then mentor undergraduate students, often those from their composition classes who wish to continue volunteering in a service site and studying the effects of community-based learning.

The student projects described on the following pages following illustrate our mentoring relationships.
