Composition Studies is increasingly concerned with the long-term effects of classroom learning on students' behaviors and attitudes--particularly how students think and interact with others through the spoken word.

We teach writing in ways that encourage personal engagement, critical thinking, an appreciation for diversity and the ability to negotiate with people who hold different views.
