About the Major
Film studies is a program that offers undergraduate students the opportunity to examine cinema from a variety of perspectives: as a visual and narrative art form, as an important social and cultural force in the twentieth century, as an industry and as a technologically based communication medium.

Professor Burgoyne in the Department of English, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Students interested in film production and analysis are encouraged to meet with
Professor Jackie Byers in the Department of Communication, College of Fine , Performing, and Communication Arts.
