Changes in the curriculum are intended to provide students understanding of the field of composition studies as well as a focused project for the dissertation.	Core Curriculum for Doctoral Students in Composition Studies (60 hours) Introduction to Doctoral Program (1 hour) 2 Theory courses (8 hours) 2 English courses outside the area of Composition Studies (8 hours) 2 Teachning courses (4-7 hours) 2 Seminars in Composition Studies (8 hours) 2 other courses in Composition Studies (8 hours) Electives (may be used toward minor and/or emphasis) (20-23 hours)
